Pillar 2: Civic Engagement - Events (SILVER)

Option One: 

This badge recognises a student in secondary education who has actively organised /led the delivery of a Climate Academy event at their school, featuring key concepts from The Climate Academy Student Book and figures from the CUTx Index.

The event can be:

• • a talk/lecture (with music or other arts included),
  • a street play
  • an art exhibition
  • a demonstration
  • a Climate Academy trip (“Slow Travel”)

Participation can include: 

• • event organisation
    • contacting and liaising with guests/VIPs.
    • Refreshments/seating/tickets/health&safety/promotion
  • Speaking or performing

Filming/reporting (media and social media

Option Two: 

• You attend a climate change/biodiversity/sustainability conference organised by others (local, regional, national).
• You actively dialogue/interact/network in an informed manner in group chats/forums/open spaces/ (based on the key concepts in The Climate Academy and the CUTx figures).
