Pillar 1 : Systems Understanding - (BRONZE AWARD)
.

The course requires you to read all 16 chapters of CLIMATE ACADEMY – The Student Book. After each chapter, you will complete a set of questions, which may include multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, and short essay responses.
Once you have finished reading the book and have answered all quiz questions to the pass standard, you will take part in a peer-assessment activity. You will choose a scheduled day to review the work of other students online. On that day, you will be assigned a selection of essays written by your peers. Your task will be to evaluate and score them.
When all reviews have been completed, the scores for each essay will be averaged across reviewers. You will then receive:
A score for the quality of your own essay (based on your peers’ evaluations).
-
An additional score reflecting how accurately and fairly you judged the essays you reviewed.
These two scores are combined to give your overall result for the essay and peer-assessment component.
Students who achieve the required pass standard will receive certificates and digital badges. Resits may be taken as often as needed.
The CLIMATE ACADEMY – Student Book, all chapter tests, and the final peer-assessment are provided free of charge. A small fee is payable only if you wish to obtain an official certificate of achievement and Open Badge.
